Beegu
Beegu wasnt supposed to be here. She's lost and alone. Beegu awakes and looks around. She realises she needs to find some friends. She first asks some rabbits, but they don't seem to understand her. She asks the trees, who also fail to respond. She thinks she hears her mother calling, but is mistaken.
At last, Beegu finds some love and acceptance in a box full of puppies. But her contentment doesn't last - not everyone thinks she belongs there. Will she ever find her way home?

Pose Sequence

Beegu - Resting
Child's Pose - Balasana
Beegu begins her journey disoriented and alone. She curls up into a small ball to protect herself as she gets her bearings.
Beegu - Awake
Hero Pose - Virasana
(with arms extended)
One of Beegu's most noticeable features is her elongated ears.
Her ears show her emotions.
Rabbits
Shakti Kicks
Beegu first seeks help from some rabbits, but they don't understand her.
As a rabbit, place your hands well in front of you, and then hop up, feeling the transfer of your weight from your feet to your hands and back, landing on your toes. Repeat four or five times.
Tree
Tree Pose - Vrksasana
Beegu seeks help from the trees, but they don't give her any assistance.
With younger children, we practice being trees on two legs first. Feel for your belly button and rub your hands down your legs and back up again to get a sense of your trunk. This is grounded and still. This is a great precursor to a one-legged stance.
Puppies
Downward Dog -
Adho Mukha Svanasana
Beegu finds some love and acceptance in a box full of puppies. But is she allowed to stay?
Once you have completed the downward dog for the puppies, return to your knees and try 'panting,' kapalabhati breathing. Contract your belly in with each outward pant breath, with your tongue as far out of your mouth as you can manage. Repeat to a count of 20 to start, working up to 40 or 50.
