Hello, Red Fox

Little Frog invites his friends to come for his birthday party.  As they arrive, he greets them one by one.  



Mama Frog initially doesn't see Little Frog's friends' true colours.  But with concentration and focus, the opposites of the colour wheel come to life.



Red Fox arrives, followed by Purple Butterfly, Orange Cat, Green Snake, Yellow Bird, Blue Fish, and White Dog with Black Spots.   



None of them are what they seem at first glance, but just as Mama Frog discovers, their true colours are there for the focused eye to see.

As Little Frog, place your hands well in front of you, and then hop up, feeling the transfer of your weight from your feet to your hands and back, landing on your toes.  Repeat four or five times.

Red Fox

​Opposite Arm and Leg Extension 



Concentrate on making sure you lift one of your legs and then the opposite arm.   Breathe in as you raise both, and breathe out as you lower them.

Lie on your belly with your arms and legs fully extended in front of and behind you.  As you take a deep breath in through your nose, slither your arms one direction and your legs another, while keeping them together.  Breathe out, and slither the other direction.  Repeat three times. 

White Dog with Black Spots

Adho Mukha Svanasana

 

Once you have completed the downward dog for White Dog with Black Spots, return to your knees and try 'panting,' kapalabhati breathing.  Contract your belly in with each outward pant breath, with your tongue as far out of your mouth as you can manage.  Repeat to a count of 20 to start, working up to 40 or 50.
